For the past few years, I have been making my own mini pilgrimage to Cambodia every November. It's a trek to get there - 5 hours on a plane from Beijing to Bangkok, then up to 8 hours traveling overland to Siem Reap. But I do it because I have a small photo family there, whom I had the good fortune to meet when I was just starting out my photographic journey, and most of whom I only see once a year. They are very special to me, and it's safe to say that had I never met them, both myself, and my photography, would be completely different from what it is today.
Plus, there is a group of seriously cute kids involved.
Should you find yourself in Siem Reap in November, you should check out the Angkor Photo Festival. Also, a bit more about the Anjali Children's Photo Workshop.
